Peran Kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah dalam Mengembangkan Pendidikan Karakter di MTs Negeri 2 Lombok Timur

Madrasa as educational institutions with religious characteristics (Islam) aim to produce student outputs character (akhlakul karimah). Educators or teachers are the spearhead in formation of students, and head madrasah has a very important role developing education, especially mobilizing coordinating all existing potential resources. Character education is an effort help mental development students both physically mentally from their natural nature towards better direction. This research to: 1) analyze principal 2) describe implementation 3) values developed. The type used qualitative descriptive design. was conducted at MTs Negeri 2 Lombok Timur. Data analysis carried out interactively takes place continuously until it complete so that data saturated. Activities using Miles Huberman model reduction (data reduction), presentation display), conclusion drawing (verification). results this study indicate that: Timur, namely: (a) madrasa program developer (Manager), (b) leader, (c) coach (Educator), (d) application (Modelling), (e) liaison parents community (Connector). Timur through: integration management, learning activities, through extracurricular development, daily activities madrasas. Of 18 according Ministry National Education, there six developed (1) religious, (2) honest, (3) disciplined, (4) environmental care, (5) social care and, (6) responsibility.
